United Wisconsin Grain Producers was founded with a vision of supporting local agriculture while creating opportunities for farmers and rural communities. Since production began in 2005, UWGP has provided area producers with a dependable local destination for grain while helping strengthen the agricultural economy throughout the region.

Today, UWGP purchases and processes approximately 20 million bushels of corn annually, producing value-added products including ethanol, corn oil, distillers grain, and A+ProYeast.

UWGP’s Board of Directors is made up of local agricultural producers, business leaders, and investors who provide leadership, guidance, and oversight for the company. Board members are elected by UWGP members and serve three-year terms.

Scott A. De Young

President

Scott A. De Young

Mr. De Young joined the Board in 2020 and is an original investor in UWGP. He is the owner and President of Municipal Well & Pump in Waupun, Wisconsin. Scott is also a CPA and serves on the Horicon Bank Board.

Vice President

Carl T. Benck

Mr. Benck has served on the Board since the company was founded and previously served as Chairman and President. He formerly operated a 1,700-acre grain farm and has since retired from farming.

Jonathon A. Herrmann

Jonathon A. Herrmann

Mr. Herrmann joined the Board in 2021 after spending 10 years working as a commodity broker. He farms approximately 1,700 acres in Columbia County and previously served as President of the Columbia County Corn Growers Association.

Calvin L. Dalton

Director

Calvin L. Dalton

Mr. Dalton has served on the Board since the company’s inception and currently serves as President. He operates a 1,500-acre corn, soybean, and hay farm along with a 200-head cow/calf operation. Mr. Dalton previously served as Vice President of the company and has held leadership roles within the Wisconsin Corn Promotion Board and National Corn Growers Association.

Thomas J. Hanley

Mr. Hanley has served on the Board since 2007 and previously served as Secretary and Vice President of the company. He formerly led Hanley Company, Inc. and currently partners in a self-storage business in southern Wisconsin.

Robert J. Miller

Director

Robert J. Miller

Mr. Miller has served on the Board since the inception of UWGP and currently serves as Secretary. He previously served as Chairman and President of the company. While retired from farming, his family continues the farming operation today.

Nicholas R. Miller

Mr. Miller is an original investor in UWGP and has served on the Board since 2021. A United States Navy veteran, he co-owns Miller Grain Farms, operating approximately 4,000 acres of corn, soybeans, and wheat.

Kevin M. Roche

Mr. Roche has served on the Board since the inception of the company and previously served as Chairman and President. He operates a large family grain farming and cattle feedlot operation with his brothers.

Austin R. Underdahl

Mr. Underdahl grain farms with his family in the Columbus and Fall River area. He resides in the Columbus area with his wife and son.

Allen R. Wolfe

Mr. Wolfe is the owner of Allen Wolfe LLC, a farm machinery dealership founded in 2006. He also grain farms with his brothers and has served his community in local government leadership roles.
